    Requirements to join our community:

    • Knowledge of elite roleplay
    • Clear microphone (no static or low quality)
    • Proper roleplaying name.

Using a name of a public figure or fictional character as a roleplay name is NOT a valid roleplay name. Names should sound realistic. (RP name must be the same on Discord.)

    Definitions

    • Combat logging: logging out to avoid a roleplay situation.
    • Elite roleplay: A higher standard of roleplay that we do on this server; elite roleplay is more than just never breaking character.
    • (EMS/EMT/medic): Emergency Medical Services.
    • (F&R): Fire and Rescue.
    • (GZV): Green Zone Violations
    • (LEO): Law Enforcement Officer.
    • Metagaming: Using outside information that your in-game character has no way of knowing about (e.g. using someone’s stream for information).
    • Out of Character (OOC): Going out of character at any point on the server.
    • Powergaming: The act of using an in-game mechanic or a roleplay concept to favor your own character or story and give you an unfair or unrealistic advantage.
    • Random Deathmatch (RDM): to kill someone without proper initiation, to revenge-kill someone.
    • Refusing to roleplay (Fail RP): refusing to roleplay out a situation that you or someone else started with you, speaking out of character (e.g. “banning,” “server”), utilization of in-game mechanics to disrupt roleplay, power gaming (saying you're doing something that the game doesn't allow you to do), etc.

    • Roleplay over rule play: valuing roleplay over following the rules (either server wide or standard operating procedures) to the letter for the greater purpose of a story and which enriches everyone's involvement in the roleplay; this includes skirting the rules and not contributing to roleplay because the rules do not specify a situation exactly.
    • New Life Rule (NLR): covered later.

    • Trolling: intentionally bad roleplay, intentionally disrupting gameplay.
    • Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM): to intentionally kill someone with your vehicle or using your vehicle as a weapon when not under a direct threat. You can be issued “warning points” that lead to extended punishment listed below:

You can be issued “warning points” that lead to extended punishment listed below:

    • 5-10 warning points: 1 - 5 day ban*
    • 10-20 warning points: 1 - 10 day ban*
    • 20-30 warning points: 1 day ban - permanent ban*

*Members of staff have the option to substitute first offense bans with RP University. This option doesn’t reverse the warning points, but gives players remedial training in certain RP subjects.

5-10 warning points can be issued for the following:

    • Spam posting (with no real context or conversational benefit)
    • Posting in threads that don’t concern you
    • Disruptive behavior (spamming staff with messages)

10-20 warning points can be issued for the following:

    • Random Deathmatch (RDM)
    • Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM)
    • Fail Roleplay (Fail RP) Ex.: Using the carrying script to carry people on a motorcycle.
    • Green Zone Violation (GZV)
    • Combat logging

    • Meta-gaming (covered by Fail RP)
    • New Life Rule (NLR)
    • Advertisement (Without permission)
    • The selling, stealing or giving out law enforcement weapons or equipment.
    • Going OOC while IC or bringing IC issues out of game for the sole purpose of creating drama within the community.

20-30 warning points can be issued for the following:

    • Ban Evasion
    • Sharing your account or character with another person
    • Abysmal roleplay, borderline trolly behavior; acting without roleplay reasons
    • Excessive disrespect
    • Exploiting/glitching; results in character wipe & monitored activity, depends on severity (Ex. Growing drugs inside a home, unauthorized business, or gang hideout)
    • Stealing EMS vehicles & equipment (not available to civilians)
    • Use of derogatory terms and phrases
    • Intentionally trolling civilians, LEOs and EMS

(This includes baiting, where you try to lure someone into a situation to entrap them or force a hostile situation. An example can be doing U-turns to get a cop to chase you. With civilians, it can be showing up at the same place repeatedly after being told not to be there.)
    • Hacking
    • Roleplaying rape

**Repeated violations of any rule despite Staff intervention may result in immediate escalation up to and including permanent bans.**

    General Server Rules

    General Rules

    • Administrators have the final say in all matters.
    • Server restarts do not break or end roleplay.
    • Moving people in and out of objects must be done within the confines of logic and reason.

    • Sexism, racism, homophobia, and derogatory terms are never permitted within our community and may result in immediate ban.
    • No exploiting or bug abusing. (e.g. duping.) *This rule includes using other vehicles for jobs, which were not meant for that specific job.*
    • No meta-gaming. (e.g. using outside game information.)
    • Do not use the side chat to hold conversations via text.
    • Private complaints to staff will not be tolerated. Please use the Complaint ticket on discord to file a complaint against another player

    • Proper roleplaying name.

Using a name of a public figure or fictional character as a roleplay name is NOT a valid roleplay name. Names should sound realistic. (RP name must be the same on Discord.)

    Roleplay Rules

    • Roleplay is of the utmost importance here at Unity Gaming. It should be the focus of everyone on the server, and it is up to every person to make sure they're upholding a higher standard of roleplay.
    • You must always value your own life and those around you .
    • You must act as if it is real life. No unrealistic actions. Civilians need roleplay reasons to commit crimes, just like in real life.)
    • Having more than one personality is not allowed. Multiple personalities in roleplay is classified as being one character with different storyline-oriented goals.

    • You must consider your surroundings and take into account the environment. (e.g. no causing harm to passersby.)
    • There is no such thing as a double life. You are the same person, off- or on-duty in any capacity.
    • Soundboards can be used to play music inside of a car only.
    • By purposely committing suicide, you are ending your current characters storyline. This will result in a character wipe and new character development (e.g. storyline and name change). Players must have video recorded evidence, which indicates the character has been killed.

    Crime/Hostile Rules

    • As we are an "elite roleplay" server, you must roleplay a reason for doing crime (e.g. stealing cars, robbing other players). Being rich or poor is not a good enough roleplay reason. If you are found doing crime without properly roleplaying out your character's development, it is considered failed roleplay.
    • Proper initiation must always be made before hostile actions. (Quick phrases to start vocal initiation is not proper initiation (e.g. "stop or die," "freeze," or "there's a baby on your roof.")
    • It is your responsibility to ensure your group has committed proper initiation.
    • Hostile initiation lasts for 15 minutes after line of sight has been lost.
    • You must pose a physical threat when initiating hostile roleplay.
    • F&R vehicles and gear are classed as non-combatants.

    • EMS are non-combatants, they may not be held hostage or robbed while on duty.
    • Everybody who has been knocked down and picked up by EMS are in EMS custody until told otherwise.
    • Walking in an active firefights or hostile action with the intent to be shot upon or downed without due cause will be marked as Fail RP.
    • Roleplaying rape or sexual assault is not permitted and will result in permanent removal.
    • A member of your group/party may not act as or be portrayed as a hostage.
    • You may not crash into someone to start an initiation.
    • Hostages must be provided with above average RP & remain in direct contact with hostiles so his/her experience isn't damaged. Permission from both parties for torture RP of any kind must be given.

    • Requesting a medic after being executed is considered failed roleplay.
    • NPC’s cannot be used as hostages for any criminal activity.

    Crimes can be committed when:

    Situation:

    Minimum amount of Cops online:

    Banks

    5 Cops

    Big Bank

    8 Cops

    Gas Stations

    3 Cops

    Houses

    3 Cops

    Jailbreaks

    5 Cops

    Jewelry Stores

    5 Cops

    EMS Rules

    • Medics may not commit any crimes or engage in hostile situations.
    • Medics may go off-duty as a civilian and thus are subject to being robbed/killed.
    • Medics should always wear their medic uniforms when on-duty so they can easily be identified.
    • Medics are not to revive during a firefight.
    • Medics may not assist people in custody as an escape from jail-time.
    • Medics must stay equal party and thus cannot inform cops/civilians of anything which may cause harm to the opposition.

    • Medics will have the ability to determine if an injury is incompatible with life. Thus, pronouncing someone dead on scene is depending on medical conditions.

    LEO Rules

    • You are not allowed to give or sell official LEO equipment. This could result in a permanent ban from the server.
    • Cops are a pivotal part within the community and thus LEOs must uphold a high standard of roleplay. Failure to follow this will result in your removal from the LE agency.
    • Sending people to prison must be done within the confines of the prison.
    • Like crime with civilians, corruption without established roleplay reasons is considered fail roleplay. Using "corruption" as an excuse for bad roleplay is not tolerated. Corruption must be discussed and approved by the administration before it’s implemented.

    Affiliation Rules

    • Roleplay initiation is required even if you're "at war" with another gang. You are not automatically initiated.
    • Gangs/Organizations must update their affiliation applications with any rules/membership changes they make to their respective affiliations.

    • Gang War Rules:

    1. Hostile/violent gang actions may only be carried out by a maximum of 5 members of that gang
    2. Initiation as per the server rules must be conducted for any and all hostile action unless agreed upon in this channel by the heads of all parties involved.
    3. Attacks on gang bases or gang operated businesses may take place only once per day.
    4. The process of 'leader sniping' is discouraged unless sufficient escalation has occurred, or both parties agree, if attempts are made on the gang leader's life, these may only occur once per day.
    5. Peace talks may be held at the discretion of both parties, the terms of these talk are not to be excessive, (i.e. cannot demand 3 million on the grounds of being insulted etc).
    6. Peace talks must be held at least once per 1 weeks.
    7. Gang wars shall only last for a maximum of 3 weeks. However, if staff members decide that the gang war is creating serious conflict within the community. Staff may choose to step in and help both gang affiliations resolve the conflict immediately.
    8. You should only be attacking/harassing business/locations operated by an enemy gang while the premises are occupied, so no dunking on empty properties for clout.

Gang Strikes: When it is not individual activity that is breaking rules but gang activity as a whole, gang strikes may be given instead of or in addition to other punishment as is seen fit by Administrators. Receiving three (3) strikes immediately results in the organization being disbanded and all assets/resources associated with them removed from the server. Gang strikes do not “cool down” or “expire” after any set time period and are only removed at the sole discretion of the Community Manager. Inquiring about whether a strike can be removed or how much time it takes for a strike to be removed will result in another strike. Therefore, gangs should treat these strikes as permanent, and should therefore take immediate steps to adopt changes to their habits permanently.

    Business Rules

    • Businesses must forfeit their company when RP isn't being upheld or used (e.g. lack of customers, inactive CEO who hasn’t been seen for a month).
    • Law enforcement or Fire Marshals hold the right to temporary shutdown businesses with due cause.
    • If a business loan or grant is given to the business by the government, that money cannot be used for illegal purposes. The money must be used to purchase items in the business loan proposal or the business owner's assets may be seized by the government and the business disbanded.

    • Businesses must update their business applications with any rules/membership changes they make to their business.

Under no circumstances shall a Last Will and Testament be utilized to give items away to other players.

    Green Zone Violations

Green Zones are crime-free areas. You may not initiate any hostile act or intentions within a Green Zone. Trolling within a Green Zone will not be tolerated. Running into a Green Zone will not save you from initiation that took place outside of the Green Zone previously. A Green Zone may not protect you from any LEO pursuit/being questioned by an LEO. If you are wanted or are being chased by the police for committing a crime and you enter a no-crime zone they are still allowed to enter and carry out their duties.

Areas which are affected by such:

    • Hospitals
    • Fire stations
    • Police departments
